Ekologia ewolucyjna i behawioralna, biologia konserwatorska, ornitologia.

Problemy badawcze: efekty (matczyne) rodzicielskie, strategie rozrodcze, starzenie reprodukcyjne, immunologia ekologiczna, interakcje międzygatunkowe, wpływ fragmentacji siedlisk, inwazyjnych gatunkw obcych oraz urbanizacji na bioróżnorodność, wpływ warunków klimatycznych na procesy biologiczne.

Organizmy modelowe: przede wszystkim rodzime gatunki ptaków, ale również bezkregowce i rośliny naczyniowe.

Warsztat badawczy: metody terenowe i laboratoryjne, w tym techniki immunologiczne i genetyczne, oraz zaawansowane metody analizy statystycznej.
