Description of primary interest:
The outcrop along the Wieprzówka Stream is an unique site representing the Andrychów Klippen Succession and its tectonic contact with Silesian and Sub-Silesian Units of flysch Carpathians. The Andrychów Klippen Succession is represented by olistholites composed of white limestones with cherts (Štramberk - type) of Oxfordian and Tytonian age. They contain a reletivery rich fauna of molluscs, bryozoas, corals and other. Limestones and marls rich in foraminifera represents Upper Cretaceous period and lithothamnium limestones and black shales - Palaeocene age. These carbonate complex are strongly folded. They are overlaying on Upper Cretaceous variegated marls of the Sub-Silesian Unit and covering by Lgota Beds of the Silesian Unit. Carbonate rocks of the Andrychów Klippen Succession represent shallow-marine deposits covering the submarine ridge extending as a cordillera between sedimentary basin of the Subsilesian and the Silesian series. They evidence an important palaeogeographic element of the Baška - Inwałd Cordyliera.
