Description of primary interest:
The profile in Wola Chroberska represents the sequence of silt and sandy silt. In the lower part the occurrence of small, angular fragments of cretaceous marls and lamination can been observed. The total thickness of the profile is about 8 m. Rich and differentiated molluscan assemblages have been found in the described sequence. The fauna is dominated by typical loess species such as: Pupilla muscorum loessica, Succinea oblonga and others. Four types of snail community can be distinguished. Two of them (fauna with Trichia hispida and fauna with Succinea oblonga and Pupilla muscorum) were found in the lower interval of the profile. They indicate cold but not sever climate, moderately dry, open environment and corresponds with period 25 – 21 KA BP. The community with Pupilla muscorum loessica is typical for the middle part of the sequence. This assemblege is commonly notes from loess sequences connected with the maximum stage of the Vistulian (21 – 15 KA BP). The mentioned fauna inhabited open environment developed under cold and sever climate and pointed phases of increase of intensity of loess accumulation. In the uppermost part of the profile the occurrence of fauna dominated by Succinea oblonga is noted. It indicates the stage of more mild and humid climate with limited intensity of loess deposition. The described fauna corresponds with period 15 – 14 KA BP.
