| Summary | It is a declining species. Until the 1950s it had relatively often been observed in the country; for the last 40 years has not been noted at all. The probable causes of its drastic decline are general changes in the soil environment (over-burden with chemicals) and the shrinkage of its preferred sandy habitat. If its localities are discovered, they should be given protection in nature reserves. Not protected by law. | |
