Summary | The species occurs in scattered locations, situated mostly in the south-eastern part of Poland. It is found in the environment of wet meadows. Threats to the species include intensification of the use of wet meadows and overgrowing of this habitat by trees and shrubs. It is recommended that meadows where Maculinea alcon occurs should be extensively used and succession of trees and shrubs should be prevented. It is protected by law in Poland. | |
