| Summary | It is a rare saproxylic species, associated with deciduous trees, mainly oaks, growing in warm places in lowland and foothill areas. Before 1950 it was known from numerous scattered localities where it is now not observed and new records are scarce. In addition to natural destructive factors, the species is threatened by human husbandry connected with intensification of plant production, as well as by occasional collecting and trading in specimens. The species is protected by law; some places of its occurrence are protected in national parks and nature reserves. | |
