| Summary | Camponotus piceus is a Mediterranean stenotopic species connected with xerothermic habitat; in Poland it was only reported from the "Krzyżanowice" nature reserve of steppic vegetation in the Complex of Ponidzie Landscape Parks (Małopolska Upland). It is the northernmost locality of the species. Identification of threats and formulation of protection measures should be preceded by confirmation of the occurrence of the species in Poland. | |
