Dendroleon pantherinus (Fabricius, 1787)
Familia | Myrmeleontidae
Ordo | Neuroptera | |
Classis | Insecta | |
Typus | Arthropoda | |
Summary | It is one of the rarest and most strongly endangered representatives of Myrmeleontidae in Europe. It also belongs to the most conspicuous species of this group of insects. In Poland it was only found at one locality on Trzebnica Hills in Lower Silesia. Its decline was probably caused by the improper forest management (removal of dead and rotting wood where the species breeds). Not protected.
