| Summary | Helicopsis striata is an extremely rare and scarce snail in Poland, with the largest concentration of localities in the lower Odra River valley near Kostrzyn. It is associated with dry and warm open habitats of south-facing slopes, with not very high herbaceous vegetation. Conservation efforts should concentrate on the maintenance of suitable habitat conditions; uncovering of soil and overgrowing of its habitat with trees and shrubs must be prevented. The species is protected by law. | |
