| Summary | The species is disappearing in Central Europe; it has only survived in the Alps. In Poland it has become extinct at a few isolated localities in the 1950s. Causes of its decline are not known; they are probably connected with the degradation of main habitat. Reintroduction is the only chance of restoring the species in Poland. | |
