| Summary | Syngrapha microgamma is a stenotopic species, associated with natural raised bogs and marshy coniferous forests, which usually cover small areas, to several tens of hectares. It has already become extinct at all localities in Western Pomerania. It still occurs in the eastern part of the country, at a few localities: in the Romincka Forest, Augustów Forest, Białowieża Forest, Polesie Lubelskie and Roztocze. A reduction in the number of localities may be attributed mostly to drainage of bogs and peat exploitation; these activities intensified in the 20th century. It is recommended that the system of protected areas for S. microgamma should be developed, with particular attention to the maintenance of water conditions in its habitats. | |
