Minois dryas (Scopoli, 1763)
Dryad
Skalnik driada

Familia  Nymphalidae
Ordo  Lepidoptera
Classis  Insecta
Typus  Arthropoda

Summary  The species is on the verge of extinction. It persists at only one of many natural localities known in the past; the other existing locality is the effect of introduction. In the north-eastern part of Poland its habitats were wet meadows, while in the central and southern regions it occurred in thermophilous deciduous forests. The appropriate shaping of Minois dryas breeding habitat, which is a key to its survival, may be an effective conservation method.
