Alysson ratzeburgi Dahlbom, 1843

Wygłada ciemna

Familia  Sphecidae
Ordo  Hymenoptera
Classis  Insecta
Typus  Arthropoda

Summary  It is a psammophilous species, with insular occurrence in Europe and Asia, preferring dry, warm and sunlit biotopes. In most part of its range rare and declining; only in northern and central Sweden it is a common species. In Poland Alysson ratzerburgi is now extremely scarce; for several decades not confirmed, so it is not unlikely that it has already become extinct in the country. Its regress is attributed to anthropogenic changes in the environment, principally to pollution and destruction of preferred biotopes, afforestation of sandy areas etc. Conservation efforts should focus on the maintenance of open, sandy, and poorly vegetated areas. The species is not protected by law.
