| Summary | It is a Palearctic species, rare or very rare in the whole of its range. In Poland Mimumesa littoralis is known from a mere handful of localities; during the last several decades its occurrence has not been confirmed. Causes of its decline may be attributed to global changes in the environment (afforestation of dunes, pollution). The only possible method of M. littoralis conservation is protection of its biotopes; it is absolutely necessary to maintain open, sandy, poorly vegetated areas. | |
