Euplagia quadripunctaria (Poda, 1761)
Jersey Tiger
Krasopani hera

Familia  Arctiidae
Ordo  Lepidoptera
Classis  Insecta
Typus  Arthropoda

Summary  It is a rare species of semi-open habitats; in Poland noted locally, currently only in the Carpathians. Its former localities - on Wolin Island and in the vicinity of Kielce, Zgorzelec and Racibórz - have not been confirmed . In suitable biotopes, such as shrub communities on mountain slopes, valley streams, ravines, it is more numerous than elsewhere. In view of the destruction of its habitats one may expect a decrease in the numbers of Callimorpha quadripunctaria and its withdrawal from some localities in the near future. Recommended is conservation of its biotopes and limitation of anthropopressure in places of its occurrence. Protected by law.
