| Summary | It is one of the rarest representatives of Cerambycidae in Poland, a relict of primeval forests. Recently, its occurrence has only been found in the Tatra Mountains, though earlier it was noted from Mt Pilsko and the surroundings of Racibórz. A decline in its population and a reduction in the number of its localities may be attributed to changes in natural biotopes due to improper forest management (reducing its base for reproduction and development). It is proposed that areas where the occurrence of imagines are observed or breeding material with foraging larvae are found should be protected after consultations with specialists. | |
