Carsia sororiata (Hübner, 1813)
Manchester Treble-bar
Niekrocz bagniczak

Familia  Geometridae
Ordo  Lepidoptera
Classis  Insecta
Typus  Arthropoda

Summary  The species is known from ten-twenty localities in different regions of Poland but currently it only occurs in the eastern part of the country, on well-preserved raised bogs and transitional mires. A decrease in the numbers of Carsia sororiata was caused by changes in and destruction of many peatland areas due to human activity. The species is not protected by law but some of its localities are protected in nature reserves. It is suggested that the conservation of peatland and C. sororiata localities should be improved.
