False Eros Blue
Modraszek eroides

Familia  Lycaenidae
Ordo  Lepidoptera
Classis  Insecta

Summary  The species is known today from few locations in the north-eastern part of Poland. It has become extinct at many localities in the central and southern parts of the country; causes of its decline are not known. It occurs in glades, clearings and roadsides in dry pine forests. Its further existence is threatened due to isolation of local populations and low numbers. Conservation measures should focus on the maintenance of its breeding habitat in the appropriate state. It is protected by law in Poland.
