Summary  It is a xerophilous Palearctic species whose range covers Southern and Central Europe; known also from Far East. In Poland it has so far been known from five locations in the Western Beskid Mountains, Małopolska Upland, Bieszczady Mountains and the eastern part of the Pomeranian Lake District. It occurs in xerothermic habitat and at warm forest edges. A threat to the species is posed by overgrowing of its biotopes with trees. Not protected by law.
