Otiorhynchus perdix (Olivier, 1807)

Kluk nakrapiany

Familia  Curculionidae
Ordo  Coleoptera
Classis  Insecta
Typus  Arthropoda

Summary  Otiorhynchus perdix is a mountain species of the Balkan origin. In Poland it is known from three localities, of which only one (Tuł Hill in the Beskid Śląski Mountains) is current. In the Carpathians and in the Sudety Mountains it occurs in warm forests, and particularly in forests growing on limestone substratum. In the whole northern part of its range the species is declining and deserves protection. Conservation of the existing populations should consist in conservation of the entire biotopes where this species lives. The reinforcement of the populations with cultivated material should also be taken into account, when planning protection measures. Not protected by law.
