Cheilotoma musciformis (Goeze, 1777)

Zaciętka

Familia  Chrysomelidae
Ordo  Coleoptera
Classis  Insecta
Typus  Arthropoda

Summary  One of the rarest species in Poland, persisting at about a dozen isolated localities, situated mostly in the Nida River Basin. It has been showing fluctuations in numbers for over 100 years. Recent studies have confirmed its occurrence at a locality near Chęciny (2002). A decrease in the number of localities may be attributed to the increasing pressure of human activity and quick successional changes in xerothermic biotopes. Conservation of this insect should focus efforts on active protection of its existing or potential localities. Not protected by law.
