| Summary | One of the rarest coleopterans in Poland, so far noted only in the Białowieża Forest, for the last time more than 40 years ago. This limited occurrence is attributed mainly to inappropriate forest management leading to the removal of all dead trees, fallen trees, hollow trees etc. and to the decline of forests of natural character. It is recommended that the places of its occurrence should be excluded from economic use and strictly protected. Lasconotus jelskii is not protected by law. | |
